For me, Hydra conjures up images of water and the serpent of Greek mythology, but in this collection, we named the Hydra earrings after our dwarf planet Pluto’s moon. Sleek, navy, dark and cascading down from your ear… I think their antiqued oxidized chain with bursts of rich color from their Amethyst, Iolite and Purple Jade gemstones makes them a perfect reflection of their galactic name as well as mythological. You can’t go wrong with such a unique style. Do I dare say these navy fabric covered bauble earrings are one of my favorites? I do.

Living in New York, I love seeing movie stars, but some nights, I miss the night stars and sky from home. I never realized how much I missed them until recently when it inspired me to start a Space inspired collection. I was thinking sleek metals, but then after sourcing beautiful new fabric beads & gemstones, I was on my way to creating a separate, more colorful collection. Then it hit me! They were forming these beautiful orbital, elliptical styles, and as I continued to design, I found myself inspired to use the icy blues of the night sky with my silver. My galactic ideas were in full force, and they were creating the perfect balance! My gold was quickly paired with stunning navy blues, vibrant yellows, reds, and I saw the stars, planets, and nebulas coming to life. Thus, both ideas united in one special collection – The Galilean.

All fabric jewelry has a clear sealant, which offers protection from gentle wear. However, the fabric is somewhat delicate, and needs to be carefully stored. Avoid snags and allowing the fabric to come in contact with liquids or abrasive materials. Store pieces in the accompanying bags for best results.
