This 14K gold vermeil necklace is another take on the Mali Necklace. It uses a unique combination of paradise and fiore pendants. One medium paradise pendant is joined by a small fiore pendant on both sides and then alternates with a small paradise and another small fiore. The Jasmine Necklace is a classy piece and looks great with any outfit!
While colors always inspire me, the Bird of Paradise flower caught my eye with both its bright colors and unique outline. Our Fiore shape, inspired by Italy, is such a great complement and framework that I felt fusing the two would create a fabulous metal sculpture. The ability to mix and match jewelry has always been something I love to do, but this collection not only layers well, it gives full circle to it's look by incorporating our well-known signature shape. I feel having the chance to combine my favorite memories, shapes, and inspirations in a collection are the foundation of my love to design and create jewelry.
Vermeil is defined as an overlay of gold on sterling silver. This ensures a quality metal as opposed to base metals under your gold. Because of its plating, vermeil should never be polished. If severe tarnish is occurring from the sterling silver tarnishing beneath your gold, an ultrasonic cleaning can be used on a limited basis. To help reduce this tarnishing, we have added a palladium layer between our sterling silver and gold on many items. Your vermeil will look beautiful for a long time to come and will “antique” with age for a charming new look. Just remember to protect it in your anti-tarnish felt bag or a velvet lined jewelry box to avoid scratching, chemicals, hairspray, and make-up.
