This Masada Flower Pendant Necklace encompasses the Flower of Life design. The large link chain balances the large Masada Flower Pendant while the 30” dropped chain is great for layering, specifically with the new Ignite Collection!
Masada is an ancient Jewish fortress that was finally captured by the Romans after it was the only remaining steadfast in Palestine and Jerusalem had fallen. As opposed to surrendering to the Romans, the Jewish people made a bold and memorable choice to commit a mass suicide of over 1000 people in a final stand to avoid slavery or capture. This testament to the strength and character of the Jewish people has made Masada a destination for many people on their religious journeys to pay homage to their ancestors. In the walls of this memorable fortress, the Flower of Life has been found carved with the writings of the religion.
Vermeil is defined as an overlay of gold on sterling silver. This ensures a quality metal as opposed to base metals under your gold. Because of its plating, vermeil should never be polished. If severe tarnish is occurring from the sterling silver tarnishing beneath your gold, an ultrasonic cleaning can be used on a limited basis. To help reduce this tarnishing, we have added a palladium layer between our sterling silver and gold on many items. Your vermeil will look beautiful for a long time to come and will “antique” with age for a charming new look. Just remember to protect it in your anti-tarnish felt bag or a velvet lined jewelry box to avoid scratching, chemicals, hairspray, and make-up.
