This Sterling Silver necklace is a geometrical testament reminiscent of Plato, combining the Mandorla and Akasha designs. The two smaller Mandorla charms frame the center Akasha pendant, balancing the look of the piece.
The Philosopher was the first to name and theorize the “Platonic solids.” The five solids were believed to be the building blocks of all forms and nature. The Flower of Life is such a unique shape that all of the Platonic solids can be derived from it showing how this shape has permeated through multiple cultures, religions, and schools of thought.
Since tarnishing is caused by oxidation of the metal when the silver comes in contact with the air, keep your jewelry in its anti-tarnish bag, or in a fairly airtight container like a velvet-lined jewelry box. Also, your natural body oils will help keep the jewelry clean so remember to wear it!! Don’t leave it out on a nightstand to tarnish. If the jewelry does begin to tarnish, lightly scrub the surface with a thick paste of baking soda and water using a soft bristled toothbrush. If the tarnish is more severe, try a silver cleaner like Wright's Silver Polish or a silver dip remembering to avoid stones such as turquoise and garnet to protect their luster.
