This small fiore measures 3/4" high, moves freely on 16" or 18" cord and has a toggle clasp.
The Fiore Collection comes from the inspiration I received in Florence, Italy. Florence was the city that gave me the opportunity to fully embrace art. I pursued drawing, painting, sculpture, and most importantly, I was introduced to jewelry. One of the most captivating features of the city is the architecture adorned with such precise and beautiful detail. A prominent symbol is the Florentine version of the "fleur-de-lis," which inspired my flower ('fiore') collection with similar clean, yet bold design elements. By giving the silver a high polish, I was able to demonstrate the pure reflectivity of the metal, which I feel brings out the full essence of the pieces. Conversely, the matte finish of the gold softens the look with a balance of color and texture.
Vermeil is defined as an overlay of gold on sterling silver. This ensures a quality metal as opposed to base metals under your gold. Because of its plating, vermeil should never be polished. If severe tarnish is occurring from the sterling silver tarnishing beneath your gold, an ultrasonic cleaning can be used on a limited basis. To help reduce this tarnishing, we have added a palladium layer between our sterling silver and gold on many items. Your vermeil will look beautiful for a long time to come and will “antique” with age for a charming new look. Just remember to protect it in your anti-tarnish felt bag or a velvet lined jewelry box to avoid scratching, chemicals, hairspray, and make-up.
The cotton cord is sturdy and can be immersed in water. It’s also very fade resistant, but we don’t suggest beach wear of vermeil pieces. All cord is replaced free of charge for the life of the jewelry. If the cord becomes damaged or discolored with time, please contact us, and arrangements will be made for its replacement.
