Wendy's Words This antiqued band was one of the first rings I ever carved, and to this day, its still one of my favorites. When I chose to re-design the Alligator collection for its “re-launch,” I never considered changing the rings. Their organic design and stacking style makes them extremely versatile and a staple of my collection.
Design Inspiration My roots as a small town Floridian became apparent in my first collection. While designing, I found myself wanting to give texture to my metal - not just any texture, but texture reminiscent of an alligator pattern. As my model making continued, I found I strayed from my initial idea, a common theme for me, and soon developed a new pattern. I realized it reminded me of little footprints, so I kept the alligator theme. Apparently, the Floridian who was raised on University Florida Gator football, saw a few alligators in her time, and became a UF 'gator' herself didn't stray far from her roots.
Product Care Oxidized High Polish Sterling Silver: Since tarnishing is caused by oxidation of the metal when the silver comes in contact with the air, keep your jewelry in its anti-tarnish bag, or in a fairly airtight container like a velvet-lined jewelry box. Also, your natural body oils will help keep the jewelry clean so remember to wear it!! If the jewelry does begin to tarnish, lightly scrub the surface with a thick paste of baking soda and water using a soft bristled toothbrush. If the tarnish is more severe, use a silver polishing cloth on the surface. Do NOT dip oxidized silver in polishes or creams because they will remove the black oxidization of the design. * For more info, please visit our Product Care page.
